Fresh Careers » Your Job Search - Staying Focused

It can be tempting to lose your focus and take the first job that comes along as time passes and you need employment or desperation sets in.

By really understanding your professional strengths and the kind of job you really want and are suited for, not only will you increase your chances of finding the right job, but also save yourself the stress of taking a job that wasn't the right 'fit' for you from the start.

Fresh Careers is pleased to present "Your Job Search: Staying Focused", an interactive workshop for people of all ages, whether they are employed, between jobs or seeking their first position. You will learn:
• How to identify the job to which you are best suited
• Steps to uncovering your true strengths and value to a potential employer
• Where to look for the job you want (versus any job available)
• How to efficiently identify and research the companies offering those jobs

The workshop will be lead by Janet Candido. Janet Candido is principal of Candido Consulting Group, a generalist human resources practice offering compensation and general human resource consulting. She offers more than 25 years of experience in the human resources consulting field, 15 of which were spent in senior HR positions.

Date: Wednesday May 19, 2010

Time: 7:00 - 9:00 p.m.

Location: Club Room at St. Clement's

This is another in a series of Fresh Careers workshops. Please register early as attendance will be limited to 15 participants to ensure a personalized approach and the workshop will also be open to other parishes.
