How to find us
St. Clement's is located at 59 Briar Hill Avenue at Duplex Avenue, one block west of Yonge
Street and approximately 5 walkable blocks north of Eglinton in North Toronto.

To get there by subway, ride the Yonge line north or south to Eglinton station and walk
north on Yonge to Briar Hill. Walk west one block. There are entrances to the church on
St. Clement's Avenue, Briar Hill Avenue, and Duplex Avenue. The entrance at Briar Hill
Avenue includes a ramp with wheelchair access. St. Clement's is wheelchair accessible and
has a small elevator inside the church.
Street parking is available around the church depending on the time of day that you visit.
Pay parking is available one block away at the municipal parking lot on the north side of
Castlefield between Yonge and Duplex.
Pastoral Staff
The Rev. Canon Cheryl C. Palmer, Rector
Cheryl was named Associate Priest of St. Clement's Church in 1996 and became Rector of the
Parish in May of 2002. Prior to that she was the Anglican Chaplain at the Hospital for
Sick Children. Her previous ministries have included serving as Associate Priest at St.
Stephen's, Downsview and Curate at St. John's, Ancaster (Diocese of Niagara). She is a
graduate of Queens University and received her M.Div. from Trinity College, University of
Toronto. As Rector, she also serves as a member of the Diocesan Council and sits on the
Candidates Committee, which assists the Archbishop in selecting Candidates for Ordination.

The Rev. Canon Dr. Richard Tanner, Associate Priest
Richard joined St. Clement's in December, 2002 after serving as the Incumbent of Trinity
Church, Barrie from 1994. He is no stranger to North Toronto: from his first years as
Assistant Curate at St. Timothy's to his long ministry as the Incumbent of Church of the
Messiah, Toronto. Besides becoming an integral part of Worship and Church life, Richard is
lending much needed support to the Pastoral Ministries of St. Clement's.

| Thomas Fitches, Organist and
Director of Music
Tom has been Organist & Director of music at St. Clement's since 1973. He received his
training in Oshawa, Toronto, and Croydon, England at the Royal School of Church Music. He
has performed on CBC radio in the series Organists in Recital and has been a guest artist
in the Twilight Organ Series at Roy Thomson Hall. Currently, he is a past president of the
Toronto Centre of the Royal Canadian College of Organists.
