At St Clements, we welcome questions, doubts, and deep discussions of faith. We offer a variety of courses, for wherever you are in your faith journey. Whether you’re interested in the basics of Christianity, learning how to follow Jesus, or marriage and parenting, we have a course for you.

Christianity 101

Christianity 101 is an inviting, thoughtful, and energizing journey into the meaning and message of Jesus.

These evenings are designed for anyone who is spiritually searching, or simply wants to explore – for the first time or once again – who Jesus was and is. This course is relaxed and informal and there is always plenty of laughter. Doubts welcomed and questions encouraged.

C1012015

Each gathering begins at 6 pm with a simple supper which we share with the Following Jesus class. Our evenings include live music, up front talks, and lively discussions, wrapping up by 9 pm.

Participants in a recent session were asked to use 3 words to describe the course to a friend. Here’s what some people said:

• “Surprising, challenging, moving.”
• “Welcoming, stimulating, and inspiring.”
• “Informative, fun, and relaxed.”

Next session: January 31 – February 28, 2017

Week Three – What has church got to do with faith?

The last two weeks look at “spiritual exercise”:

Week Four – How do I steward the resources in my life?

Week Five – How do I discern and use my personal gifts?

Each gathering begins at 6 pm with a simple supper where we connect with those in the Christianity 101 class. Our evenings include up front talks, and lively discussions, wrapping up by 9 pm

  • Children don’t arrive with an instruction manual
  • No role we undertake is more important than parenting

Family life is under great pressure today and parents face bewildering choices about how to parent effectively. Discovering we are not alone in the challenges we face and picking up ideas from other parents can make a huge difference. We can all learn how to make even the happiest family better.

Each evening runs from 7-9pm, involves a video, some small group discussion around a workbook and begins with coffee and dessert.
